Amazing and very eclectic, enjoyed the drinks. So many, many drinks. Shared a crème brûlée cheesecake. Got to sit next to the fire pit and soak in the warmth and atmosphere with a slight breeze. It was in early November.
Came here for my husbands birthday. Pretty nice place, truffle fries could of been better. Wasn’t anything special really. But the Mediterranean platter was the bomb 💣
Limited menu (food and drinks) keeps this rating from going one star higher. They are very accommodating with drinks, though. All you have to do is request. The vibe of the place is chill and the staff are very friendly. If there food menu was expanded (even if it remained bites/tapas), the impression would be better.
We got something small to eat just because we was more focused on drinks. The bean dip was amazing, my favorite drink was the Tequila Moonrise , the view was amazing & the servers/people were amazing. Beautiful inside & out.
I would have loved to stay outside & enjoyed myself but warm weather & alcohol don’t mix well with me especially with a full face of makeup, lol.
But, our server was so wonderful and just hands down the best, I wish I could remember his name! Mine & my bfs first time here and we can’t wait to come back.
The atmosphere is amazing and beautiful. I am really happy Portland has a few rooftop lounges. With that said, you would expect more staffing. Our visit, there were only two servers and that resulted in really slow service, food, drinks and to close our tab. We actually had to walk up the the server at the register to close out because we were waiting almost up to 30 mins just to close out. Our food was finished with empty plates and glasses just to look at for about 45 mins. I honestly do not think I will be returning due to the service and food was not great. Cesar salad was drenched with dressing, romaine was wilted. Ceviche was on the menu, but not available due to a “new menu”.
Cool view of the surrounding downtown area. The food was okay but the drinks were weak.
Beautiful bar with great views of the city. Unfortunately, service was slow even though it wasn’t busy when we arrived. Food is over priced. Hummus plate included supermarket hummus, dry pita, crunchy tomatoes and transparent slices of cucumber. I got a burger served with cold fries on a tiny salad plate. Lost a bunch of fries to the table trying to slice my burger (tasted good, but patty seemed like it was steamed). They did bring us hot, replacement fries, which were very good.. This was not worth the required 20% gratuity added to our bill.
I have always considered Xport Lounge my favorite spot in town, particularly for its excellent cocktails and vibrant atmosphere. However, my recent experience on a busy Christmas evening has led me to reassess my recommendation due to safety concerns.
Despite the festive spirit, our evening took an unexpected turn. As we were leaving around the early closing time of 10 pm, we encountered an aggressive couple in the hallway. What began as a minor disagreement quickly escalated into a verbal, and then physical, altercation. Unfortunately, the situation worsened as the main entrance was locked, trapping us inside and leaving no option for a peaceful exit. This confinement resulted in a distressing scenario where one of our friends sustained head injuries.
The staff’s response to the situation was disappointing. The locked doors not only prevented our group from avoiding the conflict but also delayed our exit and access to help. The police response was prompt, and they handled the situation professionally.
While I have previously had only positive experiences at Xport Lounge, this incident highlights a serious issue with the approach to customer safety. It’s with regret that I can no longer recommend this place as I had before, primarily due to these safety concerns.
